MISSION STATEMENT

The Louisville Municipal School District in collaboration with stakeholders is committed to providing a quality education that prepares students for a successful future.

SEVERE WEATHER INFORMATION

It is the goal of the Louisville Municipal School District (LMSD) that all students are instructed in a safe environment conducive to learning. Severe weather drills are practiced in the local schools throughout the school year, where the staff and students are trained to carry it out effectively.  When severe weather occurs within the regular school day that threatens the safety of our students, every effort is being provided to protect the safety and security of the students.

Parents are advised that the LMSD Severe Weather Team will immediately inform the local radio and television stations concerning school dismissal and/or school closings on the onset of severe weather or during bad weather conditions.  Please note that the increased volume of telephone calls to the schools and central office deters the operation of the severe weather plan.

All telephone calls should be kept to a minimum.  To assist the schools with the severe weather plan, we encourage parents to use the emergency contacts below.
